Chapter Five .:. A Windy Ride
I woke up with a thump on the head by Adam. Wait, no, it's Allen. Yeah, I found out that my best
friend had an identical twin brother whom he never spoke of or talked about throughout all the years of
our friendship. Isn't that nice? "What was that for?" I asked, irritated by the sudden thump. Though, it
was nice to be woken up from a nightmare. It seems that is the only thing I ever dream about.
"We're here."
"What? Really!" I turned my head eagerly to look out the window of our posh 'shipment' plane, but
the window was shut closed. I spun around trying to see, even a glimpse, of what I would now be
forced to call home, but everyone elses windows were closed, too. "How would you know we were here
if all the windows are closed?" I asked doubtfully.
"I just... do." Allen replied with a hint of mystery in his voice.
"Well that's helpful." I said sarcastically, but just then, the speakers went up saying we were there
and will be landing in three minutes. I looked at Allen, confused, but braced myself for landing; and it
was certainly not what I expected.
The plane jolted down what a whiz, and every child on this plane screamed like they were falling to
their death, and this didn't feel too unlike that. My stomach flipped, and it felt like the old times when I
would go on roller coasters with Adam, but this was far worse.
"IS THIS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN?" I screamed from the loudness of wind blowing around the plane as
we fell. Suddenly the plane started to beep, like something was wrong with the controls.
"I HAVE NO FREAKING IDEA!" Allen yelled back. His eyes were wide open as we fell, and face being
blown back making him look silly and more carefree, but now isn't the time to check out his face! I
screamed, and kept screaming as we were falling to our certain deaths, but suddenly I saw a little girl
just standing in the middle of the plane sideways. That's right, she could actually walk around this
falling plane. The hall through the seats was so steep, it would be a challenge to even climb it! I
noticed the about seven year old girl's blue eyes start to glow. Her blond hair flowing like a fierce wind
was trying to blow it back, and she screamed.
As she screamed, the plane just stopped midair. Actually, I wouldn't know for sure if we were
underwater or space, since there was no way of knowing where we were, but all I knew for sure was
the little girl, looking harmless and fragile, just stopped the biggest plane I had ever seen in my entire
life filled with a couple hundred people just by screaming. Something is very wrong here, and I think I'm
going to be part of it. Just then, I fainted in the arms of Allen, falling into dreams of sweet memories
involving my family and friends. I hadn't had a care in the world just then, and it was my first nice
dream I'd had in weeks, but as I closed my eyes, I failed to realize everyone else was passing out, too,
and the plane resumed landing... normally.
